$50 is a bit steep for a 5K, what’s the money going toward?

That is exactly what I was thinking. $50 is a lot for a 5 K…or is it because Formula 1 is a HIGH price event. Does the $$ go to charity or just to Formula 1?
It would be great to run it–but way too much money.

Sounds like the F1 people want to have a small crowd for that run. I’ve never seen anyone have the nerve to charge $50 for a 5K before, they must have champagne at the water stops.

I agree…..why $50 and what is it going too?

Anyone know if you can bike this instead of run it?

They don’t even have to hire cops or close down streets. . Ridiculous.

Wow!! I really wanted to take my 13 yr old son to experience…So this would cost me $100 bucks??? I guess this is just the beginning…Come on guys!!

Ok, no charge for kids, but still a lot of money!!!

If there were some charity contribution, that would have sealed the deal. Without it, I think I will have to pass. I don’t see why they can’t make a charitable contribution like every other race out there.

$50.00 is not bad for the multimillion dollar track .

If you look closer it is not F1 that organize event it is “Run Tex” That is not way to bring more people to exercise. I guess they need money to pay outstanding bills to Ausitn PD for previous events.
